Fitness and health have been my life for the past 8 months, and I’ve absolutely loved every second of it. I remember how much I was looking forward to warmer weather, eager to throw off my clothes, get to the beach, rub tanning oil on myself, and lay out in the sun.
Now having done that, and with my body at a stage where I’m pretty content with my muscle tone, I’ve reduced the amount of working out I do to maybe … 2 or 3x a week rather than the 7-days-a-week I was doing for the last few months. Most of my maintenance now comes from my diet, which is still pretty strict, but allows for cookies or ice cream here and there (as long as it’s all balanced and in moderation, right?).
If it’s starting to warm up where you are, take a break from your fit goals and soak yourself in some sun, have something tasty to drink, and enjoy reaping the benefits of that hot body you’ve worked so damn hard to earn. You deserve it.

Sunglasses: Keep or return?
These new sunglasses cost me an arm and a leg. I want to return them based purely on the knowledge that I can probably fund a small African village for several years on the expense of these alone. I am torn between returning or keeping them as I haven’t treated myself to anything so ridiculously lush in quite a while. Decisions.
Magical is: Falling in love with the ocean, feeling waves and salty sand rushing back and forth through my fingers, sunlight glittering over the swells during a break in my breathless and barefoot run across the beach.

Look who I met today! Lol.
Bye bye, food baby! I went on a brisk 5k this morning along the beach and through the woods — so relaxing and amazing! It was so sunny outside, and there are always so many other runners out in the morning during the weekends. What better way to work off all that crazy delicious food I had yesterday, right? No excuses! Get your workouts in today.
PS. I love my lululemon gear! Every other runner is always drabbed in funeral black. Running in such a bright outfit makes me feel so bubbly and full of energy! If you want motivation to work out, definitely pick up some fun athletic gear. Hopefully it will motivate you just as much as it motivates me!

Why do I feel like having my hair up makes me look like I’m 17?
Another behind-the-scenes picture from my shoot on Monday, this time with my mystery photographer making a cameo! Waiting for images to come back from a photoshoot is always the most nerve-wracking part because you’re never really certain which photos they’ll choose to send you. Guh! The wait is killing me. Is it killing you too?!
Anyway — check out those toned thighs and calves! I’m so close to getting the total body I want. So close! I can taste it! All those painful leg days filled with plyo-squats, all those miles run, and the several bouts of chair poses and lunging in yoga are really paying off, huh? Talk about lean muscle!
