Speed of light.

So wait …
Since the speed of light is ALWAYS constant (670 million mph), and no matter how fast we chase a beam of light, it will always retreat at that same pace, and since there is no such thing as a STATIONARY beam of light (in comparison to our conceptions of what a stationary state is), does that mean that my room right now is full of photons traveling at 670 million miles per hour? That’s fucking insane.

It makes you wonder how shadows are formed. O___o …
Or wait. Holy shit. I get it. (Lol. This is fun self-teaching, btw. More fun than if I had been forced to digest this stuff, I mean.)

So shadows are formed because objects, like my hand for example, in the path of light block photons from traveling to their destination, thus, shadows. I mean, this is all very elementary stuff, but thinking of it in concepts of the speed with which all of these minor constituents and forces in our environment are moving — it becomes infinitely more mind blowing to me.

But it makes sense why radiation from various types of light are harmful considering the speed of different rays, and why people wear sunblock. Damn.

… /Puts sunblock on.
